The skills you will gain (leadership, communication, group facilitation) and the friends you will make are just some of the things that make Summer Welcome truly an amazing opportunity! You must attend an info session to receive an application. At the Info Sessions we are going to get down to the specifics. We're going to talk about everything being a Summer Welcome Leader means, the benefits and pay, the time commitment, and we'll answer any questions people have. Each session should last about 45 minutes to an hour. Info Session dates: Tuesday November 17th, 8:00 pm in Conservation Auditorium; Wednesday November 18th, 8:00 pm in Arts & Science Auditorium; Wednesday December 2nd, 6:00 pm in Physics 126; Thursday December 3rd, 7:00 pm in Middlebush Auditorium; Sunday December 6th, 7:00 pm in Physics 126. Work for a semester as a legislative intern or an intern in a publicly funded government office. Athletics Tutors
Mizzou Athletics is looking for tutors to help enhance the academic growth of MU student-athletes. The tutor position is designed to enhance student learning by providing experience and knowledge to assist with content based course mastery. Tutor will also be asked to help the continuing development of study skills and strategies of student-athletes. The application for the January intersession study abroad scholarship is now available. The form is due by November 15th. Qualified students will be awarded the scholarship on a need basis. The Urban Financial Services Coalition - Greater Kansas City ("UFSC-GKC") is a 35-year old international organization whose mission is to provide opportunities for the development of its members, improve the representation of minorities in management positions in the financial services industry and promote better access to financial services, with an emphasis on low-to-moderate income populations and under-served communities. UFSC-GKC's scholarship program is one of the objectives that support this mission. Applicants are required to apply by November 20th. Environmental Project Funding Available
Do you have an idea for an environmental project on campus? Do you need money to carry it out? Applications for the Student Sustainable Initiative Fund are now available! As a part of the Sustainability Fee, the SSIF is intended to provide funding for student-oriented projects that promote environmental sustainability at MU. Etiquette Dinner November 12th, Tiger Hotel
Do you know which fork to use for your salad? The proper way to excuse yourself from a table full of recruiters? If you would like to learn, come to the Student Council Etiquette Dinner on Thursday, November 12th at the Tiger Hotel. Tickets are on sale in the atrium for $14, and students registered for Career Services can pick up a voucher in the BCS Office to get in for free! Additionally, for those in the PDP program, points will be awarded for attendance.
